Win A Free Pair of Daily Garden Shoes

This weekend, I'm happy to be hosting a random drawing for one lucky commenter to win a brand new pair of Daily Garden Shoes from Muck Boots.

If you are one of those readers who doesn't read beyond the first paragraph, I'll post the rules right up front before I go and on about my my love for my own Muck brand shoes.

To enter, please leave a comment by 9:00 PM EST on Sunday, October 12, that ties back to your blog, or if you don't have a blog, leave a comment with a valid email address. I need a way to contact you if you win! Anyone may enter, but enter only once, and shipping is free in the U.S. only.

Sometime after 9:00 PM EST on Sunday, October 12, I'll use a random number generator to generate a random number between one and however many comments there are, and then count down through the comments to that number to find the winner.

Geez, I've made that sound kind of complicated, and it isn't. Just comment to enter.

Anyway, let me tell you about my muck shoes. I don't have the actual Daily Garden Shoes, I have a pair of the Muskster Pet Lovers Muck Shoes. The irony of this is that I have a lot of garden, but no pets.

But I bought them at a garden center, and they assured me that I would love them to wear in the garden, and I do. They are comfortable to walk in all day long, and they keep my feet dry. And they are sturdy enough to use for most shoveling. I wear them for all kinds of activities, including mowing in slightly damp grass.

About the only thing I wouldn't wear them for is when I am using a roto-tiller. When I do that, I usually wear a pair of hiking boots, the kind with the red laces, that I bought when I was in college in the late 1970's. Everyone wore them back then. You just had to have a pair to be cool! Who knew that all these years later, I'd still have them and they would be in the garage patiently waiting for those rare times when I actually use the roto-tiller.

But I am digressing. Feet are an important tool for gardening. If your feet aren't dry and comfortable, it is hard to do much in the garden. Just ask Kathy from Cold Climate Gardening and she'll agree, if your feet hurt, you aren't going to be able to do much gardening.

Gardening? Oh, yes, that's what I'm going to do today, so if you'll excuse me now, I'm going out to put on my own Muck shoes and head out to the garden.

Before you go out to your garden, be sure and leave a comment to enter the drawing before 9:00 PM on Sunday, October 12. Good luck, and happy gardening!

I would love a pair of those shoes! My gardening clogs are falling apart, too much gardening...
I would be more than happy to link back to your blog, can someone please explain to me how to do that without having all the excess HTML code on the post, I just cannot seem to do it.

I only realized last week that I don't have any proper gardening shoes. I was digging a steep slope when my left foot suddenly pushed hard on a 'knife'. -The sole of the shoe had gotten loose and I was using my bare foot on the blade of the spade! I can tell you, that hurt!

Oohhh, I want some real gardener shoes. It's like putting on new running shoes, for a runner! I hope I win, I hope I win, I hope I win. rossmeghan@hotmail.com

I'd love to win these shoes. Right now I'm using sneakers and of course they're turning from gray and blue to brown and green.

This is a great giveaway. Thanks for the chance to win!

Ever since MSS ordered her new pair, I've been eyeing some that don't have holes. All of my current gardening shoes have holes in them so when I water, my feet get wet and muddy. Would these do the job?

Wow, those look like a great pair of gardening shoes! I love shoes that you can just rinse the mud & debris off with a hose. :)

I think those would make a great gift to replace the missing gardeningi trug, don't you?

Over here at www.idahogardener.com I could really use a new pair of Muck boots. 'specially since I have snow already!

oh yes, here's the love.

I'm wondering if the garden soil sticks in that tread. I'm always tracking half my garden onto my kitchen floor. Well, at least they look easy to slip off and on at the door, unlike the sneakers I have been wearing! I finally resorted to removing my shoelaces so I could kick them off easily, but that makes them floppy and uncomfortable.

I'd love to embrace those gardening shoes for a happier life! They look like great gardening shoes!

I've been trying to figure out what to do about gardening shoes. I use old sneakers, which are hard to slip on and off and aren't very comfortable. Until I read MSS @ Zanthan Gardens' rant about Crocs, I was thinking of getting some of those for wearing in the garden. But now I don't think that sounds like a good idea, either!

What a great idea. I covet those gardening shoes, desperately needing a new pair. Thanks for the chance to be included.

I would love to have a pair of those gardening shoes. I wear whatever shoes I have that are too worn out for regular use as my garden shoes. Plus, if I win, they would stay in the family.

What a nice offering! I sure could use a pair of those today. Got a lot of digging to do, and it's drizzling. We're supposed to get snow and a freeze tonight. Ack.

I've picked my last raspberries, most likely.

I think I injured myself due to lack of proper warming up and stretching, not because of the footwear I was wearing. I'd like to try a pair of those gardening shoes myself, if they come wide enough for my wide feet.

Please save my feet for the fire ant bites I am always getting when I go out wearing flip flops. I did that very thing this morning.

What a fun and generous offer, Carol! I usually wear old crocs, but they're not sturdy enough for shoveling.

Crafty Gardener said...

I would most certainly give those garden boots a good home on my own two feet.

What great looking garden shoes. I would love them, Carol. Count me in for your drawing.

I love the Daily Gardening Shoes, but I need to win a new pair. I've worn them so much I'm getting holes in the light green part. I even posted a photo of them with my spring/fall gardening hat at the beginning of summer to commemorate the switch from them to my summer gardening shoes & hat. You'd think they'd let me give away a pair.

Cindy said...

My gardening shoes are in desparate need of replacement...maybe I'll win a new pair!

Lucky comment #28. My garden shoes are all wearing out, and I could really use a new pair!

YAY! Gardening shoes! I use my right pink Croc's to garden in and the sand and soil get in the Croc holes when I'm having a mad hoeing session! Not good.

Jean said...

Cute. They remind me of the overshoes my father wore in the 1940s. I wear Wellies for really mucky tasks, these look more gardening-like. Thanks.

Sory, I don't have a blog but I do enjoy yours every day. And I sure could use waterproof shoes in the soggy mountains of North Carolina.

I love to have a new pair of garden shoes! I finally threw my old ones away and have resorted to using my worn out sneakers.

Hi Carol,

I just spent a day working with the Divas of the Dirt and my shoes were an old pair of dilapidated sneakers. A pair of those Daily Garden Shoes would be a great look for the next project!

I'd love those shoes. I currently wear flip flops and I'm tired of scrubbing my feet to get all the dirt off at the end of the day!

those look wonderful! I hurt my foot back in the springtime when my backless tennis shoes slipped. Ouch! these look so comfortable. Michelle smkizer@suddenlink.net

Are these unisex shoes? LOL Oh well, I'll enter anyway. I like shoes that are easy to take off and on because I'm bad to run back and forth from the house and garden.

I would love to win the shoes. Wow! What a nice thing to do!

Although I'm enjoying my new Bogz, I find that they were designed for people in upstate New York or Wales. They are warm...too warm for our hot little feet down here in Texas where it still hits 90 in October.

And I miss my Muck boots! So...I'll throw my hat in the ring and await the randomness of the universe.

I have a very nice pair of lime green Burpee clogs I've been wearing all summer, but these look great for cooler days and really getting into the dirt. Thanks for sponsoring this, Carol!
