I have at least a foot of hard packed snow plus about eight inches of new, fluffy snow over my garden. What do soil scientists say about the soil temp when this much snow lingers this long?PetalTalkhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05991167824099135361noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8488599.post-82114317049893101042014-03-03T09:14:09.329-05:002014-03-03T09:14:09.329-05:00First of all, I loved your presentation at the Spr...First of all, I loved your presentation at the Spring Clinic.<br />I will be growing tomatoes from seed this year, too. We have at least a foot of hard packed frozen snow (12 degrees this am) and last year in March we had 8" of snow on March 7, 12" on March 19, and we had to close our Bridge of Flowers on April 2 because of a snow storm. Oh to be in Indiana now that March is here.Commonweederhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10913336590036045901noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8488599.post-14150060595486954182014-03-03T08:56:32.813-05:002014-03-03T08:56:32.813-05:00I really think I love starting from seed over buyi...I really think I love starting from seed over buying transplants, even if it takes longer. There is just something so amazing about it. I am hoping to plant some peas soon too. I just need to get my garden ready. Waiting for a warmer day to work on it.
