It's not logical. If a path curves, add a tree, or a shrub, or a bed for it to curve around. Just my opinion.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8488599.post-75416658579722946962010-02-20T10:09:41.936-05:002010-02-20T10:09:41.936-05:00Love your words and garden design concepts. Then again, sometimes I stare so hard at my garden I can't even see any possibilities. Perhaps I need an outsiders eye. However, I can tell from the way the grass is getting worn in places (where I walk to the bird feeders and along the flowerbed) where the paths needs to be. I've put in paths where I know people will walk, or where I want to walk. I also don't like deadends, so I try to have paths loop back to each other. But you are right, that the path should reveal the garden slowly, like telling a story. My first plans for my garden were based on straight lines and right angles and then at the State Fair a couple of years ago, the local garden club had display gardens on the theme of a tribute to Elizabeth Lawrence. All but one of them had right angles (as did Elizabeth's garden, I believe) but the one that made a curving Ruthhttp://muscarimusings.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8488599.post-1553025630377714092010-02-19T07:26:53.984-05:002010-02-19T07:26:53.984-05:00It is good that you have taken time before you do ...It is good that you have taken time before you do major changes in your garden.
